Security and devotion to the protection of people are ingrained in Patrick’s professional career, with a heritage in Irish Policing spanning four generations and dating back to the Royal Irish Constabulary.
Throughout his policing career within An Garda Siochana, Patrick obtained a number of qualifications in security & risk management and associated disciplines including Occupational Health & Safety, Project Management and Adult Learning.
Starting in the family security business Argus Security Limited in the late 1970’s under the guidance of two skilled security professionals, Christopher and Jim Nolan, before joining An Garda Siochana in 1980, Patrick spent much of his policing career within the Protection Section of Crime & Security, where he was central to the setting-up and running of the Garda Technical Advisory Group (GTAG).
Playing key roles in the development of Private Security Authority Licensing requirements for the CIT industry and the establishment of the Financial Institutions voluntary Code of Practice for the Safe Movement of Cash throughout Ireland are some of Patrick’s achievements that he is willing to mention.
Since retiring from An Garda Siochana, Patrick advises the state financial regulatory sector on physical, electronic and procedural security risk management and design.

Hugh has over 40 years’ experience in Security Management in the public and private sectors. He has extensive experience of Managing Crisis and Incidents across Europe, Middle East and Africa. Hugh spent 20 years as a Regional Security Manager with a Blue Chip Fortune 100 Corporation. He has actively managed Crisis in the Middle East and Africa and has deployed to countries impacted by crisis to support regional and country management teams.
Hugh brings a wealth of experience in the areas of Incident management, Supply Chain Security, Travel Security, Executive Protection, Physical Security operations, Supplier selection and management. He is a member of OSAC, ASIS, and TAPA and has actively liaised with Foreign Consulates, American Chambers of Commerce and local law enforcement agencies in support of the Corporations operations.

Following a distinguished and illustrious career within An Garda Siochana, Ray retired in 2009 at the rank of Superintendent to take up the position of Head of Security with the Central Bank of Ireland.
This new role afforded Ray the opportunity to utilise his vast reservoirs of Policing knowledge and expertise to safely guide the Central Bank through numerous security issues and crises throughout his seven years at this post. He developed and implemented security policies for Technical and Physical security operations in the Bank that met with International Standards. He developed Crisis and Incident scenarios for exercising of the Bank’s management team and the writing of detailed procedures for staff.
Ray played a key role in liaising with the PSA on security regulations and procedures for the CIT companies operating in Ireland. He was also the key representative in the EU security groups and task forces allied to Central Banks across the European Union and international banking security institutions. Ray holds an honours BA degree in Police and Security Management.
